Have you heard of the “Raw Food Diet”?  I have :-)

I think I am going to purchase this book and try it out.  I have to warn you that if you transfer over to this way of eating too fast, you can cause damage to yourself and become toxic.

You can find out more information about this book @ http://www.detoxtheworld.com/pdf/TheRawFoodDetoxDiet.pdf

You can see a video that was made on this book @

…before there is an AFTER…

How motivating would it be to see what you would look like after losing weight?  I don’t mean one of those generic faced simulators but one that is an actual picture of YOU???

Well, I know of a place that you CAN!!!  http://www.weightmirror.com is where you can do this…

NOTICE – the smaller picture is NOT a REAL picture of me… YET!!!  It is a simulation of me 93 pounds lighter… Awwww aren’t I cute ? LOL

BMR

2009  Nov 4

Do you know what you BMR is?  Basal Metabolic Rate… it’s the amount of calories you will burn in a day based on your age, weight and height.  I just found out that mine is about 2149.  So that means with absolutely NO exercise per day my body should burn off that many calories.  So, if I am only eating 2100 calories, then I work out, I should lose 1-2 pounds per week.  Want to find out yours???

See how well your body is working for you!!!

Why is it so hard to do this?  I don’t get it.  I mean, I know that it’s hard to lose, it’s hard to get motivated to exercise and I get that… but I want it so badly some days.  I was going to go to Weight Watchers meetings for the extra support.  I have been to a few and it’s just too expensive for me.  I can’t really afford to keep going…. so a friend of mine had done the “LEARN” program at the local hospital.  She was telling me how she lost something like 30 pounds in the class.  That was pretty awesome.  It was by writing down EVERYTHING that went into her mouth on a piece of paper, then averaging out the calories that she had for the week and not going over a certain average for each day.

Well, I went on the site (from the book that she used to count her calories), Calorie King and looked around.  I purchased a book (which should be on it’s way soon) and have signed up for the program.  It’s a lot more affordable for me and there is an online journal, calorie counterfood database and much more… You can look up a food using the Calorie Counter that I put on this site from Calorie King.

I have even found a weight loss simulator that you can sign up for and see what you will look like at your desired weight.  I am going to print out my desired body and put it on my fridge.  That should be a good conversation starter LOL

Tomorrow my son and I are going to start working out.  I think that my foot will finally be OK so that I can workout.  It hurts sometimes but I think it will be OK.

I broke my foot last year in September and didn’t know it was broken until December.  I had to wear a boot for a while and then it kept hurting afterwards and I was afraid to work out.  Now, it’s been a while since it hurt all the time.  It did hurt a few weeks ago but it seems to be OK now, so I am going to get started working out with the FIRM tapes tomorrow.  I think that my son is going to work out with me.  WOO HOO… we are going to get gorgeous!
